Our Story
It all started In 2007, founder Dinesh Mangaru visited Zimbabwe for a conference…
After the conference, even though Dinesh didn’t have any currency left, he stopped at a market on his way to the airport, to look at the handmade souvenirs.
By Dinesh's surprise, the stallholder offered him a souvenir in return for the pens that he was carrying because his children had no pens at school.
This made Dinesh think how a simple pencil could make a difference and change a life – every child should have the right to write, to learn and create.
For many of us, picking up a pen from a conference is not something we think about.
But, in some parts of the world thousands of children go without.
We believe that it’s about time every child had the right to write – to learn and create.
That's why we want to provide free stationery to children in rural schools to enable their education and future success.
